Research Assistant - salary grade E 13 TV-L (PhD candidate)
Language representation in bilinguals
Duration: ~34 months (up to 31.12.24)

Working field:
The successful candidate is supposed to work on
- developing a computational modeling framework of brain signals to understand how language in represented in bilinguals
- modeling fMRI data using deep learning based machine learning techniques
- language related features will be extracted using computational linguistics and state-of-the-art Natural Language Processing tools
- PhD thesis preparartion is possbile
Qualifications:
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom, or equivalent) in Computational Neuroscience, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields; very good knowledge in fMRI data acquisition and analysis, machine learning and Natural Language Processing is mandatory; very good programming skills (Python); fluent written and spoken English skills are mandatory and/or good command of German required; willingness to improve either English or German to the indicated level is expected
